CC-Markets set to launch in October
LUDWIGSHAFEN, Germany (August 25, 2000) ñ BASF AG, Europeís largest chemical manufacturer, said the Internet marketplace it is creating with Degussa Huels AG. Henkel KgaA and SAPMarkets will go online in October.

Envera announces board members
RICHMOND, Virginia (August 23, 2000) ñ Envera (www.envera.com), an online hub for managing long-term chemical contracts business, has announced the members of its board of directors.

CheMatch claims 500 members, increased volume
HOUSTON (August 22, 2000) -- CheMatch.com, an Internet-based marketplace for bulk commodity chemicals, plastics and fuel products, claims more than 500 corporate members, a 700% increase since the beginning of the year.

getPlastic extends global e-market presence
BURLINGTON, Mass., (August 22, 2000) - getPlastic.com, a provider of business-to-business (B2B) e-marketplace solutions for the plastics processing industry, has extended its ability to service international accounts in the global plastics market with the addition of two new general managers.

Envera shares XML knowledge with CIDX
RICHMOND, Va. (August 21, 2000) - Envera, a solutions provider for transactions in the petroleum and chemical industries through Web-enabled technology, has lent its expertise to the Chemicals Industry Data eXchange (CIDX) -- a trade industry group working to promote adoption of XML-based solutions for the chemical e-commerce market.

IndigoB2B names Ronald E. Bombolis CFO
NEWARK, N.J. (August 21, 2000) - IndigoB2B.com announced the appointment of Ronald Bombolis as Chief Financial Officer of the new business-to-business specialty chemical company, which launched online last month. Mr. Bombolis is the former Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller of Beneficial Corporation.

SciQuest announces e-strategy deal with ChemWeb
WASHINGTON (August 21, 2000) - SciQuest.com, a marketplace for scientific products and equipment, services, software and information, has announced a strategic content partnership with ChemWeb, producer of ChemWeb.com, an online community of chemistry researchers. The alliance should provide improved access to ChemWebís industry-specific information from the SciQuest marketplace.

OneChem announces first five online transaction customers
RIDGEFIELD, Conn. (August 17, 2000) - OneChem, a chemical industry application service provider (ASP), has announced that Vulcan Chemicals, Koch Chemicals, General Chemical, Lemex and Grupo Polak have signed letters of agreement to conduct transactions online with OneChem to support their e-commerce strategies.

Elemica formally incorporated with eight founders
NEW YORK (August, 16, 2000) - The eight founding participants of Elemica have formally incorporated the company and invested a total of $100 million for its startup. The eight founders of Elemica, an independent neutral e-marketplace for managing contract relationships between buyers and sellers in the chemical industry, are ATOFINA, BASF, Bayer, BP, Dow, DuPont, Rohm and Haas and Shell. The target operational launch date for the company's transactional site is December 2000.

ChemIndustry provides search service for ChemDeals
FALMOUTH, Mass. (August 15, 2000) - ChemDeals.com, an e-marketplace for trading excess chemical inventory, has agreed to list its buying and selling opportunities with the search service of ChemIndustry.com.

Borealis Group to join Omnexus
ATLANTA (August 16, 2000) ñ Omnexus, an independent, business-to-business e-marketplace focused on the plastics injection and blow molding industries, has signed the Borealis Group, based in Denmark, as a supplier.
